if i use astral heron. and i play a card, and they react to it. i player another card and dont get the discount because nothing resolved correct? And with that in mind. if i move my unit with a spell like Shuriken Flip, does that mean i can move heron from base to a battlefield and it counts as at a battlefield when it resolves since the spell resolves after its moved?

Yes on both counts — but for different reasons.

First scenario: correct, no discount. Heron's trigger only fires when the act of playing your first card is completed by its resolution (Rule 419.4.a). If they counter it, it never resolves and the trigger never fires at all (419.4.a.1). Same result if you play your second card while the first is still on the chain — the trigger hasn't fired yet, and the discount only applies to the next card played after the ability resolves (FAQ 11762).

Second scenario: yes, Shuriken Flip works. The move happens during the spell's resolution, and the trigger fires only once the spell has fully resolved (Rule 383.2.c) — by then Heron is already at the battlefield, so "if I'm at a battlefield" is satisfied and your next card costs [2][A][A] less. That's the flip side of FAQ 11906: moving Heron after the first card's play is complete never counts, but moving him during its resolution does.
