Does riposte still give might if the countered spells gets countered

Answer

No — if the spell Riposte targeted is already countered by the time Riposte resolves, Riposte gives no Might.

That's FAQ 8450: after Defy counters the spell, Riposte's target is gone from the chain, so it mistargets, and per the check on that spell's Energy cost returns "null," so the +Might instruction is ignored. Note this is specifically about the spell being removed before Riposte resolves — if Riposte's own counter instruction is prevented (e.g., the spell "can't be countered"), the spell is still a legal target and you do get the Might (FAQ 12401).
