When Edge of Night is played from hidden at a battlefield, where can it attach to units - at that battlefield or only at base?

Ruling: As currently written, Edge of Night can only attach to units at base because the word "here" in its text refers to base (where gear is recalled to during cleanup), which conflicts with hidden's targeting restrictions that require targeting at the battlefield where it was hidden. This is a known issue that will receive errata to remove the word "here" from the card text.

Sequence:

• Edge of Night is played from hidden at a battlefield
• Gear is recalled to base during cleanup (step 5)
• The "when played" trigger finalizes during cleanup (step 8)
• At this point, "here" refers to base, so it can only attach to units at base

Nuances:

• The intended behavior is for Edge of Night to attach to units at the battlefield where it was hidden
• Removing "here" from the card text would allow hidden's targeting restrictions to properly direct the attachment to the battlefield
• This creates a similar issue to Tideturner, where card text creates impossible targeting restrictions with hidden
• Rule 435.1 implies gear could end up at battlefields, but current rules provide no legal way to play them there
