Answer

Ruling: When game 3 is incomplete at the end of additional turns, the player with the highest score wins that game. If scores are tied, the game is a draw. This same end-of-match procedure applies to the final game of a match.

Sequence:

  • Time is called during game 3
  • Additional turns are played
  • If game is still incomplete, compare scores
  • Higher score wins the game (and thus wins the match 2-1)
  • If scores are equal, game 3 is a draw (match ends 1-1-1)

Nuances:

  • Score refers to in-game score/points, not game wins
  • The end of match procedure applies to each individual game in a match, including the final game
