Answer

Ruling: Missed triggers must be announced before the next action or they count as missed. If remembered before turn end, the opponent decides whether to execute visible triggers. Invisible triggers (like might changes) still count if announced when relevant. Point scoring from conquering or holding is given retroactively as long as a full turn cycle hasn't passed and accurate score can be determined.

Sequence:

  • Trigger must be announced before next action is taken
  • If missed and remembered before turn ends, apply the appropriate rule based on trigger type
  • For invisible triggers, announce when they become relevant (e.g., when opponent targets the unit)
  • For visible triggers, opponent decides if they execute now
  • For point scoring from conquering/holding, retroactively apply if within one turn cycle

Nuances:

  • Invisible triggers (might changes that aren't directly visible on board) still count as long as announced when they become relevant
  • Visible triggers (like card draw) require opponent's decision if missed and remembered later
  • Conquering and holding point gains are not triggers - they are applied retroactively
  • Hold points can be claimed retroactively, but hold trigger effects follow the missed trigger policy (opponent decides for visible, automatic for invisible)
  • Tournament rules update will formalize the exception for invisible triggers
