Answer

Ruling: When calculating might modifications, apply all increases before all decreases. Smoke Screen's effect is calculated ("snapshotted") when the spell is played, not continuously recalculated.

Sequence:

  • Start with base might (2 for the poro)
  • Apply all increases: +1 from Trifarian War Camp, +1 from shield, +2 from Discipline = 6 total from increases
  • Apply all decreases: -3 from Smoke Screen (snapshotted when played)
  • Final might: 2 + 6 - 3 = 5 might

Nuances:

  • If a second Smoke Screen is played after Discipline, it would only give -2 (not -3) because Discipline's +2 is already applied when the second Smoke Screen snapshots
  • Aura effects like Trifarian War Camp don't use the chain to resolve and apply continuously
  • The "increases before decreases" rule ensures aura increases like Trifarian War Camp apply before aura decreases like Green Leona
