Ruling: Both units die and no one wins the battlefield. The 8 might unit deals 8 damage to the 6 might unit (killing it), while the 6 might unit deals 6 damage to the 8 might unit that already has 2 damage marked (totaling 8 damage, killing it).

Sequence:

• 2 damage is marked on the 8 might unit at the beginning of showdown
• Both units deal damage equal to their might simultaneously during combat
• The 8 might unit deals 8 damage to the 6 might unit (lethal)
• The 6 might unit deals 6 damage to the 8 might unit (which combined with the 2 pre-marked damage totals 8, lethal)
• Both units die
