Ruling: You cannot use Caitlyn's tap ability during a showdown. You can only activate it on your turn and outside a showdown.

Nuances:

• Activable unit/legend abilities are "normal speed spells" unless specified otherwise
• Abilities that don't specify action/reaction cannot be used as if they were actions/reactions
• Some legends like Darius have abilities that specifically read as "Reaction" and would work differently
