Ruling: Yes, deflect stacks. If a unit has deflect and gains another instance of deflect, it will have deflect 2.

Nuances:

• There is currently no confirmed way in the game to give a unit a second instance of deflect
• Svellsongur Gear Equipment might be able to duplicate deflect, but this is awaiting official ruling
• Equipment grants its text to the unit it's attached to (the bottom part of the text box), not to the gear itself
