Ruling: Tianna Crownguard only prevents the victory point from being scored, but does not prevent hold abilities from triggering. When the act of gaining a point from holding is negated or replaced, the hold effect will still trigger.

• Player maintains control of a battlefield during their Beginning Phase
• Player attempts to score a victory point from holding
• Tianna Crownguard prevents the victory point from being gained
• Hold abilities still trigger despite the point being prevented

Nuances:

• This same principle applies to conquer abilities - if you conquer while at 7 points and cannot score the 8th point, you still get the conquer effect
• Scoring triggers both the point gain and the hold/conquer abilities, but these are independent - preventing one doesn't prevent the other
