Ruling: You choose the target upon playing Fight or Flight, not upon resolving. If the opponent plays Retreat after you've chosen an enemy target, you do not need to retarget your own unit.

Sequence:

• Choose target when playing Fight or Flight
• If opponent plays Retreat in response, the card is still considered played but does nothing

Nuances:

• Fight or Flight is still considered played even if it does nothing due to the target being removed
