If you play Mystic Reversal to steal an opponent's spell, does that spell count as played for Legion purposes?

Ruling: The player who played Mystic Reversal is considered to have played the stolen spell, not the original caster. Therefore, the opponent does not activate Legion effects from the stolen spell.

Sequence:

• When a spell is put on the chain, it checks for cast triggers at that time
• If control of the spell changes via Mystic Reversal before resolution, the player who controls it at resolution is the one who played it
• A card is only considered "played" when it has finished resolving in its entirety
• Since the Mystic Reversal player controls the spell when it resolves, they are the one who played it

Nuances:

• This is different from countering a spell with Defy or similar effects, where the countered spell is not considered played at all
• The original caster does not get Legion credit for a spell stolen by Mystic Reversal
