When blue Ezreal is defending on Reaver's Row, how do you sequence Ezreal's damage ability and Reaver's Row's ability to move him to base?

Answer

Ruling: When multiple trigger effects are controlled by the same player, that player chooses the sequence. The controller can choose to have Ezreal's ability resolve first (dealing damage) and then resolve Reaver's Row's ability (moving him to base).

Sequence:

  • Chain 1: Reaver's Row ability targets Ezreal
  • Chain 2: Ezreal's ability targets an enemy
  • Resolution: Ezreal deals damage, then moves to base

Nuances:

  • If the opponent responds with a Might modifier to Ezreal's ability, you can still pull Ezreal back to base without paying the 1 power cost since the abilities are already on the chain
