Answer

Ruling: No, using Flash and Fight or Flight together will not trigger Kayn's ability twice because he won't physically move the second time since he's already at base. A unit must physically move to a new location for it to count as a 'move'.

Sequence:

  • First movement spell moves Kayn from battlefield to base (counts as one move)
  • Second movement spell targeting base does nothing since Kayn is already at base (does not count as a move)

Nuances:

  • The two moves must occur in the same turn, but not necessarily in the same chain
  • Actions can be played during a Showdown, allowing windows to play movement spells at different points
  • To trigger Kayn's ability with reaction-speed spells (like responding to Falling Star), you need two reaction-speed movement spells that move to different locations, such as Tideturner plus Flash or Fight or Flight
