If I scored a holding point on a battlefield this turn, then left it, and my opponent took control of it, can I score again and trigger conquer effects if I take it back this same turn?

Ruling: You cannot score a second point or trigger conquer effects on a battlefield where you already scored a holding point this turn. You can gain control of it, but not conquer it.

Sequence:

• You score a holding point on a battlefield
• You leave the battlefield and opponent takes control
• You move back to the battlefield
• You gain control but do not score or conquer

Nuances:

• You can only score 1 point per battlefield per turn
• Conquering is attached to scoring, so no scoring means no conquering
• Gaining control and conquering are different mechanics
