Answer

Ruling: When Yasuo attacks, the opponent can move a unit with Reaver's Row before Yasuo's "when I attack" ability resolves. Yasuo targets a unit first, then the opponent can choose to move that exact targeted unit with Reaver's Row.

Sequence:

  • Yasuo declares attack
  • Yasuo's "when I attack" ability goes on the chain and targets a unit
  • Opponent's "when I defend" abilities (like Reaver's Row) go on the chain
  • Chain resolves in reverse order: Reaver's Row resolves first (moving the unit)
  • Yasuo's ability resolves second

Nuances:

  • The opponent knows exactly which unit Yasuo is targeting when deciding whether to use Reaver's Row
  • "When I defend" abilities resolve before "when I attack" abilities due to chain ordering
