Answer

Ruling: The chain resolves in reverse order (last in, first out). Player B's Dreaming Tree trigger resolves first, then Player B's Stupefy, then Player A's Dreaming Tree trigger, then Player A's Stupefy.

Sequence:

  • Chain builds: Stupefy A > Dreaming Tree A > Stupefy B > Dreaming Tree B
  • Resolve in reverse: Dreaming Tree B resolves (Player B draws) > Stupefy B resolves > Dreaming Tree A resolves (Player A draws) > Stupefy A resolves
  • After each draw from Dreaming Tree, the controller of the next effect in the chain gets priority first to play reaction speed cards before their opponent

Nuances:

  • When you draw from The Dreaming Tree while the chain is still resolving, you can immediately play reaction speed cards (like Stupefy) if you are the controller of the next effect in the chain
  • Priority passes back and forth - the controller of the next effect gets priority first, then after they pass, their opponent gets priority to play reaction cards
