If you kill Vanguard Captain with Baited Hook and then play Spectral Matron from the Baited Hook, can Spectral Matron pull out the Vanguard Captain that was just killed?

Ruling: Yes, Spectral Matron can pull out the Vanguard Captain that was just killed with Baited Hook.

Sequence:

• Baited Hook kills Vanguard Captain
• Vanguard Captain goes to trash
• Baited Hook fully resolves
• Spectral Matron is played from Baited Hook
• By the time Spectral Matron is fully played, Vanguard Captain is already in trash and available to be pulled
