If a 5 Might Sett with a buff gets Smokescreened down to 1 Might, and then you spend Sett's buff to play Call to Glory, what is Sett's final Might?

Answer

Ruling: When you spend Sett's buff to play Call to Glory while Smokescreen is active, Sett ends at 3 Might. You apply increases and decreases in the arithmetic layer: 4 Might (base) + 3 Might (Call to Glory) - 4 Might (Smokescreen) = 3 Might.

Sequence:

  • Sett starts at 5 Might (4 base + 1 from buff)
  • Smokescreen reduces him by 4 Might to 1 Might
  • Spend Sett's buff to play Call to Glory (Sett drops to 0 Might temporarily: 4 base - 4 Smokescreen)
  • Call to Glory resolves, granting +3 Might
  • Final calculation: 4 (base) + 3 (CtG) - 4 (Smokescreen) = 3 Might

Nuances:

  • Units only die when they have non-zero damage marked on them greater than or equal to their Might. Sett doesn't die just for being at 0 Might without damage marked.
