Answer

Ruling: Yes, intentional draws are allowed in Riftbound. At any point, players may agree on a game draw or match draw, or concede a game or match. However, they cannot offer anything in return for the draw or concession.

Nuances:

  • Players can discuss and agree to draws before the round starts without restriction
  • Once matches have started, giving recommendations to other tables that they should draw constitutes outside assistance and is not allowed
  • A draw is worth 1 point, which is more than a loss (0 points) but less than a win (3 points)
  • This system follows Magic: The Gathering's approach, though Riftbound uses different tiebreaker ordering
