If I control a battlefield with Hostile Takeover hidden and my opponent plays a single unit with Boots of Swiftness (which reads 'start a combat if other enemies are there. Otherwise, conquer.'), do I get a point for conquering even though I already control the battlefield? Can I then use that unit (now readied by Hostile Takeover) to gank another battlefield on my opponent's turn?

Answer
Ruling: You do not receive a point for conquering because you already control the battlefield - reminder text is not rules text. You cannot use the readied unit to gank another battlefield because it is your opponent's turn, and standard moves require it to be your turn.
Sequence:
- Opponent plays unit with Boots of Swiftness at your controlled battlefield
- Since no other enemies are present, the "Otherwise, conquer" condition triggers
- However, you already control the battlefield, so no conquest occurs and no point is awarded
- Hostile Takeover readies the unit
- The unit cannot make a standard move (gank) because it is not your turn
Nuances:
- Reminder text on cards is not rules text and does not create game effects
- Standard moves can only be made during your own turn
