Answer

Ruling: Stunned units do not deal damage in combat. The attacker had 11 damage (15 minus stunned Lee Sin's 4) and the defender had 10 damage (12 minus stunned Clockwork Keeper's 2). Since neither side can completely eliminate the other's units, this results in a tie, and the attacker's units recall.

Sequence:

  • Calculate total damage excluding stunned units
  • Assign combat damage (each side can kill some but not all opposing units)
  • Because the attacker cannot completely win the fight, the attacking units recall

Nuances:

  • A combat where both sides have surviving units after damage is called a "tie"
  • In a tie, the attacker recalls even if they dealt more total damage
