When you possess an enemy unit with Hostile Takeover, do you get any attached equipment? What happens if the unit dies?

Answer
Ruling: When a unit changes controller, it keeps its attached equipment, but the equipment remains under its original controller's control. The original equipment controller is the only one who can make choices for it (like attaching it to another unit).
Sequence:
- Unit changes controller via Hostile Takeover
- Equipment stays attached but remains under original controller
- If the unit leaves the board, the equipment is recalled to its controller
- Hostile Takeover returns control of the unit at end of turn
Nuances:
- You cannot use effects like Weaponmaster to move opponent-controlled equipment to your own units
- If the stolen unit has Temporary, it dies at the start of its controller's next beginning phase (the opponent who originally controlled it, after Hostile Takeover returns it)
- Z Drive combo: If you attach Z Drive to a stolen unit and it dies while you control Z Drive, when Z Drive activates later, you play the banished unit and maintain control permanently (though opponent remains owner for retreat/trash purposes)
- Portal Rescue and similar effects that reference "owner" will return the unit to the opponent's base, not yours
