While there are many FAQs regarding Guards!—which forces you to play its token at a specific battlefield because it is being played from a Hidden position—Desert's Call does not have the Hidden keyword.

According to the standard rules for playing units (as noted in RiftJudge FAQ #7225), you are permitted to play units directly from your hand or via spell effects to any battlefield you control. You are not restricted to playing them only at your base.
