When I play Switcheroo and my Unit has total 5 Might with Shield 2 included, my Enemy has 5 Might in total as well with an equip (Hextech Gauntlet). How does it work?
Since both units have the same current Might (5 each), Switcheroo's swap is effectively a no-op — it applies +0 to both and nothing changes during combat.
Here's the breakdown:
- Your unit: base 3 + Shield 2 = 5 total
- Enemy unit: base 2 + Hextech Gauntlets (+3) = 5 total
Switcheroo snapshots the current Might (5 and 5), calculates a difference of 0, and applies +0 to each. Shield stays on your unit, Gauntlets stay on the enemy unit — passives and equipment don't transfer (FAQ #341, #645).
After combat ends, Shield falls off (it only works while defending), so your unit drops to base 3. The enemy's Gauntlets remain attached, so they stay at 5. If your unit were not in combat when Switcheroo was played, Shield wouldn't be active at all, and the values would still be 5 and 5 (from different sources), so the result is the same.
If the Might values had been different (e.g., your unit at 7 with Shield vs. enemy at 5 with Gauntlets), the swap would apply a -2/+2 modifier, and after combat your unit would lose Shield and end at base 3 + (-2) = 1, while the enemy would stay at base 2 + Gauntlets 3 + (+2) = 7.
