What is Empower?

Empower is a keyword from the Vendetta set. It's an activated ability with an associated cost — you pay the cost, and your unit gains the empowered status. You can only activate Empower if the unit isn't already empowered.

Empowered is a status that lasts indefinitely until the card leaves the board or is disempowered. It does nothing on its own, but other effects can reference it. Many cards with Empower also have an Empowered dependent keyword — while the card is empowered, you get an extra effect.

Disempower is the action of removing the empowered status. You can't disempower something that isn't empowered.
