This core rule specifically mentions that a gear must be played to the BF, ignoring its original restriction. But then when the gear is played, it will be sent back to the base during a cleanup anyway since another rule says that a gear not being equipped to a unit cannot exist in a BF. Then what’s the point of the whole special mention and seemingly superseding rule?August 25, 2026I saw lots of people saying that a hidden Zhonya’s Hourglass at a BF can only be played to the base because gears are not allowed to be played to the BF. If that’s the case, what is point of having the following rules?
