shady spectacles copy the might?

Answer

Yes — Shady Spectacles copies the chosen unit's printed Might, but not Might that comes from gear or other effects on it.

Copy effects only replace copyable traits: printed (or already-copied) Name, Type, Tags, Cost, Domain, Rules Text, and Might (). So if you equip a 1-Might unit to copy a 12-Might Baron, the equipped unit becomes a 12-Might copy and is Mighty — and Spectacles' own Might bonus (if any) still applies on top of that, since it's a separate attached object.

The flip side: a unit that's only big because of buffs or attached equipment isn't "Mighty" in its printed traits, so copying it gives you its actual printed Might.
