What happens to the second hidden card when the Bushwhack Trap if it dies?

Answer

It depends on whether you still control that battlefield when the Trap dies.

Most often Bushwhack Trap dies to its own Deploy trigger because an opponent Held there — and Holding means that opponent now controls that battlefield. When that happens it isn't just the extra card: both hidden cards at that battlefield go to their owners' trash in the next cleanup, since hidden cards are removed from any battlefield not controlled by the same player ( / 468.5.c). You do get a window before that: hidden cards gain Reaction from the turn after they were hidden, so you can play either one in response to the Hold trigger and actually use it before you lose the battlefield.

If the Trap is destroyed some other way (gear removal, etc.) while you still control the battlefield, the second hidden card just stays. Bushwhack Trap only grants the permission to hide an additional card there — nothing trashes a card that's already hidden once that permission is gone, and playing it from facedown still only costs the Hidden play cost.

Worth remembering that these hidden cards are put in the trash, not Killed, so no Deathknell or "when I die" abilities trigger off it.

It depends on whether you still control that battlefield when the Trap dies. Most often Bushwhack Trap dies to its own Deploy trigger because an opponent Held there — and Holding means that opponent now controls that battlefield. When that happens it isn't just the extra card: both hidden cards at that battlefield go to their owners' trash in the next cleanup, since hidden cards are removed from any battlefield not controlled by the same player (CR 323.6.a / 468.5.c). You do get a window before that: hidden cards gain Reaction from the turn after they were hidden, so you can play either one in response to the Hold trigger and actually use it before you lose the battlefield. If the Trap is destroyed some other way (gear removal, etc.) while you still control the battlefield, you will have to remove a number of hidden cards to reach the legal number again. As rule 107.3.b.2 states: If the maximum occupancy of a Facedown Zone decreases to a number less than the number of cards currently located there, the controller of that Facedown Zone must put a number of cards equal to the difference in the trash from the Facedown Zone. Worth remembering that these hidden cards are put in the trash, not Killed, so no Deathknell or "when I die" abilities trigger off it.
