Verify & approve
As an arbiter, you have two main actions to confirm answers: Verify (the AI answer is already correct) and Approve (a community correction is better). This page covers when to use each and the permissions involved.

Permission matrix

Users with high Career Reputation but without the arbiter role cannot verify. The >50 gate uses Career Reputation, not Season Reputation.
Why is Verify disabled?
- Pending proposals — resolve or reject them first
- You have a standing Vote on this Question — remove your Vote first; Verify and Approve are blocked so you cannot collect both vote-alignment and the arbiter action on the same Question. Applies to arbiters and admins.
- You have an active Flag on this Question — withdraw first; another arbiter must settle Flags you filed (blocks Verify, Approve, and Flagged-lane settle).
- Not signed in, not an arbiter, or rep too low — see the permission matrix above
- Already verified or deprecated — action not available
Reputation earning (+2 for verify, +10 for approved proposals) is covered in Reputation & leaderboard. The >50 gate is an arbiter permission based on Career Reputation, not a general reputation threshold.
