win condition riftbound according to rules

Answer

Yes — you win by reaching the Victory Score in points, which is 8 by default in 1v1 (11 in 2v2), as long as you also have more points than any opponent (Rules 194.2, 194.3, 486.3).

Points come from four sources: Holding a battlefield during your Beginning Phase, Conquering a battlefield, card effects that grant points, and an opponent Burning Out (). The check happens in a cleanup — if you're at or above the Victory Score and ahead of everyone, you win right then (Rules 194.2, 467). If two players are tied at or above the score, nobody wins yet; play continues until one is strictly ahead.

Three important wrinkles: a battlefield can only be scored once per turn per player (); the Final Point from a Conquer requires that you scored every battlefield that same turn — otherwise you draw a card instead (); and if Burn Out points push you to victory, you win immediately without waiting for a cleanup.

Note that some older FAQs quote the Victory Score as 7 — the current Core Rules set it at 8 (), and card effects like Aspirant's Climb can raise it.
