empowered steel paws from tornado warrior with damage marked does it die at end of turn? or survives

Answer

It dies — the moment Tornado Warrior's delayed disempower resolves, Steel Paws is left at 0 Might with damage still marked on it, and the lethal check happens before damage is healed.

Tornado Warrior's "disempower it at end of turn" is a delayed trigger that fires in the Ending Step (), which is before the Expiration Step where units are healed. Steel Paws is 0 printed Might with "[Empowered] > I have +7 [M]," so dropping the Empowered status takes it from 7 to 0 with no other boost — any non-zero marked damage is now lethal (), and the cleanup kills before healing ( task 3b, then 3c).

This is why it differs from the usual "damage and stat loss happen simultaneously" case: in a combat cleanup the heal and the expiry are part of the same special cleanup (FAQ #1093), but here the disempower is a trigger that resolves first, leaving a window where the damage is still there.

Edge case: if Steel Paws somehow has zero damage marked when it's disempowered, it just sits at 0 Might and survives.
